Haul - Superdrug & Boots

Okay, so I'm going to get right into it as the post is very *picture heavy*

Only 5 things but still a haul :)

First thing i got was the NYC Smooth Skin pressed face powder.

Shade "Naturally Beige"

I haven't been getting on very well with my current face powder, the MUA one. I'm not too sure if the formula has been changed or something it just doesn't look good with foundation underneath, and totally changes the colour of my foundation and makes my face makeup look really cakey. Even though I've repurchased the MUA one 3 times, I thought I'd give this a go.

In a recent blog post I reviewed the Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream in Fairy Cake. I thought I'd get another shade from the range, this one in Cotton Candy, as i really liked Fairy Cake.

NYC City Curls Curling Mascara
Shade Carbon (Black)

I really like the wand on this mascara! I've heard good & bad things about the NYC mascaras, but for the few pound i paid for this I thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

 Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I've heard some amazing things about this concealer! I read on blogger somewhere that it was even compared to mac. I really can't wait to review this concealer , and see if it really is a High Street Gem! In shade "Fair 1"

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow
Shade Eternal Gold

Saved the best till last!;)
I think I may be a bit slow on the whole "Color Tattoo" thing. But I really wanted to try one of these out, and for the price you get a more then generous amount and there so pigmented when swatched they will last ages!

Thanks for Reading! :)xxx

Happy Sunday People!

Another closer view.....

You can't tell that much in this picture but this shade is more Matt then the other nail paint shades in the Barry M range. Its also got a sort of sliver shimmer in it as well. This shade is called Denim by the way.
Just in case you don't believe me ;)

Here's what i used on whole.

Review: Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream

Hi Guys! :)

Wanna know my favourite lip product of all time at the moment?

Its this little gem! This is the Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream , in shade Fairy Cake 3. For £2.99 , available from Superdrug and Boots, its definitely a bargain beauty buy!

Collection promises

 "Velvety soft, matte-finish lip cream.
- Enriched with a ultra moisturising, vitamin-rich formula, the creamy colour hugs lips to give your pout the perfect powdery finish.
- Available in four shades - Cotton Candy, Fairy Cake, Powder Puff and Angel Delight - for a beauty look that's bound to wow."

Just your average doe foot applicator...

Amazingly pigmented! Only 1 swipe!

This is easily my favourite lip product at the moment! I must admit , i wasn't expecting much from this product at all , but i was shocked.

You can't complain at all on the staying power of this product , obviously with it being a Matt product it will last longer. However i was surprisingly shocked when i managed to get 5 hours wear out of this, probably because i ate something, and it was only minimum wear around the upper & lower centre of my lips.

It wasn't moisturising , but I wouldn't say it was dry either it was sort of in the middle. It did feel very light weight on the lips , I almost forgot i was wearing it. I loved the matte look it gave me, i also thought it went really well with my skin tone. So this is great for paler skinned girls. The shade is sort of a coral shade , which surprisingly looked good on me, as usually corals don't look to good on me.

I love the smell of these products! They smell like vanilla and sweet like cupcakes. You can't smell it once it's on your lips though. I love fairy cake, and i really want to try cotton candy, which is sort of a pink colour. I'm definitely going to try that one next.

These lip creams are perfect if you want a matte lip on a budget , these are great quality and definitely worth the price! The only bad thing is theres only 4 shades to choose from in the range, two of which wouldn't really suit my skin tone.

Thanks for Reading!:)

Review: MUA Pro Eyeshadow Trio's!

Most of you who read my blog regularly would probably of heard about MUA by now. The MUA Pro Eyeshadow Trio's are £2.50 each, and available at Supedrug. They remind me alot of the Bourjois eyeshadow Trio's packaging wise, but i can't compare them on quality as I've never tried the Bourjois ones.

Anyways I've got 3 of these eyeshadow trio's .......
Top Row: Blue Babe, Passion
Bottom Row: Eden

Here's a closer look.....
They've also got a little diagram on the back which tells you were to apply the eyeshadow on each parts of the eye, so there really good products for someone getting into makeup.
Each trio also comes with a sponge applicator, but i mainly just use brushes because i prefer them.

The packaging is quite sturdy for the price , and is quite professional looking for the small price of £2.50 that you pay.

Swatches Of Eden
Swatches Of Blue Babe
Swatches Of Passion

The quality of the eyeshadows are outstanding! They're very pigmented , as you can see in the pictures above. Within a 2-3 swipes you get the pigmentation as showen above , there also easily build able and blend able. You get the odd bit of fallout , but nothing too extreme.

I would normally apply eye primer , then the 3 colours from these trio's. They always last all day and don't crease at all, the same as when i applied them in the morning. They also show up very pigmented on the lid and bold. The shades in each individual trio all complement each other very well , so these products are key to creating the perfect eye look, using the highlighter, inner and outter corner eyeshadows!

These eyeshadow trio's come in 7 different shades , ranging from blacks to blues to browns. So theres plenty to choose from. There is definitely a perfect trio for anyone in the MUA range. I would highly recommend these to anyone who's looking for a great quality eye trio on a budget, these are fantastic!

Review: Collection Lasting Perfecting Minerals Foundation Powder

Who needs a foundation when you can use this miracle product?!
I got my hands on this little beauty at a stall that sells discontinued makeup , or products that have had their packaging changed. I got it for only £1.99! Which is a great deal from its current retail price of £4.99. Mines in the old packaging.

First this product was discontinued, but collection have recently brought it back in different packaging. They have also changed their brand name since then. From Collection 2000 to Collection.
The one I've got is in shade "No 2 Honey". They don't have shade names now. Just light/medium and medium/dark.
It also comes with a brush to apply it with , but i just use a normal powder brush.

Here's a swatch before its blended out.....
And here's it blended out, it blends out real well!

Collection Says.....

- Four in one, feather-light, satin formula that contains ingredients, which nourish skin to enhance its own goodness while giving the coverage of a concealer and foundation, hiding and disguising blemishes and imperfections.
- This perfecting product provides just the right amount of coverage, and gives a soft and silky finish, perfect for naturally nude makeup.
- The easy to apply brush applicator and unique, skin-loving ingredients will add a delightfully dewy, healthy and youthful glow.

You really can't fault this mineral foundation  powder at all! It really does give the finish of both a foundation and powder and is really light , you almost forget your actually wearing it. It gives a perfect matte finish and doesn't look cakey at all. It definitely hides imperfections , blemishes and really does conceal quite well. I don't even wear a concealer with this. I only ever wear this over a primer. It gives your face a lovely glow , I got quite a few comments when i wore this as well. I love the perfect amount of coverage it gives , and i will probably end up repurchasing this from Boots in the new packaging.

This is easily a must have product for anyone who wants a great coverage foundation powder, and its even better that its mineral! For the retail price , its definitely worth it, even though i haven't used that much product yet i read on other review posts that its quite long lasting as well. So its great value for money. I would easily recommend and repurchased this, I'm loving Collection products at the moment!

Thanks For Reading Guys! :)xxxx

Review: Barry M Dazzle Dusts

I'm back! This time I'm going to be reviewing these 5 little gems named Barry M Dazzle Dusts! You can buy these at Superdrug and Boots for £4.59, you can also buy them online on Barry M's website.
The packaging on the outside is quite sturdy, they come in glass pots and with a unscrew -able black lid with the Barry M logo on.
Top Row: 90 ( Pearly Mauve) , 91 ( Silvery Black ) , 98 ( Petrol Black )
Bottom Row: 44 ( Bronze ), 52 ( Silver Brown )

There in the same shade order as they above photo.
Its hard to photograph the shimmer and glitter in these but you can kinda see it in shade 98.
This photo doesn't do the pigmentation , shimmer and glitter of these dazzle dusts any justice!

These dazzle dusts are amazing for the price! You only need a tiny bit of product , with them being so pigmented, and there easy to blend to so they last ages! The photos don't really do the dazzle dusts any justice at all, shade 90 is much more pigmented then in the photo and 98 has quite large amounts of glitter in it. The staying power on these is amazing too, i usually just use eye primer then apply the dazzle dust with a wet eyeshadow brush then blend it out with a dry one. They stay on all day and don't fade or lose any of their sparkly glitter.

90 is a purple/lilac and has a very nice sparkle to it when applied to the eye. 91 is a very dark sliver/grey with lots of sparkle and shimmer to it, slightly more then 90. 98 is definitely true to it's name "Petrol Black" its a dark black with lots of navy/dark blue glitter to it. 44 is my favourite shade, i would describe it as more of a gold then a bronze but its a great day to day colour with plenty of shimmer. 52 is a lot like 44 shimmer wise, expect its more on the light - medium brown side shade wise.

I would easily recommend these Dazzle dusts to anybody who's looking for a great quality eyeshadow dust with amazing pigmentation and shimmer! There are over 60 shades of Dazzle dusts to choose from so you will definitely find a favourite in the range.

Thanks for Reading! =)

Have you tried any of the other shades of dazzle dusts from Barry M, let me know which below I love reading your comments!xxxx

Review: MUA Pro Out There Plumping Lipgloss

Well today I've got a review for you beauties :)

Today I'm going to be reviewing the MUA Pro Out There Plumping Lipgloss , these are available from Supedrug for only £2's each. As well as the MUA website. There are seven sensational shades to choose from , I have 3 of them. The ones I have are in Peach Shimmer, Nude and Candy Pink.
Left to Right: Peach Shimmer , Nude , Candy Pink.....
It also tells you the shade names on the top of the lid's.
The applicator is the usual doe foot style. Again the ligloss's are in the same order as the first photo.
Swatches!
Left to Right: Peach Shimmer , Nude , Candy Pink

Peach Shimmer : A hot pink shimmery colour, slightly more wearable for evenings then day times. Best suited with neutral plain makeup to create a bright bold lip.

Nude: Its all in the name! Nude is a well... nude colour not as pigmented as the other two lipgloss's i have but still shows on the lips. Suits any sort makeup , bright and bold or everyday.

Candy Pink: A soft , light baby pink colour. Not as shimmery as Peach Shimmer , but still has the shimmer every lipgloss has. Best described as the "matte" of the 3 shades. Suits neutral makeup , and maybe something slightly bolder?

I really love these lipgloss's! For lipgloss's these products are very pigmented, easily 3 of the most pigmented lipgloss's i have ever tried. There not sticky and apply very easily to the lips, and are easy to blend out onto them as well. They last about 2-3 hours without eating or drinking, however when the shimmer and shine starts to fade your still left with a sort of sheen of the colour on your lips. They aren't as moisturising as the lipsticks , however i definitely wouldn't say they were drying!
As for the plumping effect that MUA claims? Does that work? Yes , definitely! Once applied to the lips within a few seconds you feel a slight tingling and warm sensation on your lips. So they definitely do plump your lips , giving you a natural looking pout.

For the price these lipgloss's are great to have in your collection! They work really well as plumping lipgloss's and show really pigmented on the lips. I would definitely recommend these lipgloss's!

Thanks for Reading! :)

I really enjoy reading your feedback , so it would be great if you could leave a comment below!xxx

Tutorial : Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish!

Ekkkk! I'm in love with the new Barry M magnetic nail polish so much. I tried it out for the first time this afternoon and its like magic! It's only £4.99 from Superdrug , and i think Boots aswell. So here's the effect i got.....
This is the first time I've used magnetic nail polish before , but after hearing great things about it on Blogger and youtube, then Barry M bringing out their own i thought I'd give it a shot. I'm quite impressed with the results.

Okay so I'm not going to turn this into a review , I'll probably do that at the end of the week once I've had a full use of this great new product. So here's how to get magnetic nails......

Apply a base coat, here I'm using Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener. I always use 2 coats of base coat because it gives the nails twice the amount of protection.
Once the base coat is completely dry, obviously, apply a thin coat of the Barry M Magnetic nail polish. The shade I'm using is "Magnetic Red". Let that completely dry before moving onto the next step.
Excuse the messy application, that's why i use cotton buds and nail polish remover for ;)

Okay so this is were the magic part comes in, apply another coat of the Barry M Magnetic nail polish, i would recommend thickish and immediately after hold the magnet above the nail. The easiest way to do it is paint a nail , hold magnet , paint a nail ect.ect.

You hold the magnet above the nail by placing the curved part below the cuticle , so where the skin meets the cuticle. So that the gold design on the magnet is facing away from the cuticle.

So repeat that on each nail and wait for it to dry, then add a topcoat and your done! I'll show you my magnetic nails.

Mini Haul!

I've been meaning to do this post for a few days now , and i haven't blogged in about a week so I'm definitely going to start getting back into posting daily! :)

So on Thursday i was in town , and i got 3 things. See i told you it was a mini haul;) So i only got one thing from Superdrug, i got one of the new Barry M Magnetic nail polishes , it was £4.99 i got it in the shade "Magnetic Red"

I'm going to be trying it out tomorrow so I'll probably post about it tomorrow evening.

Then i went to this little stall thing and it sells discontinued makeup and nail polishes , or just makeup or nail polish that has had its packaging changed and stuff like that. It also does brushes , fake tan , fake nails all that sort of stuff.
I was amazed when i found the Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener! Especially when it was only £1.99 , at Boots its £8.99. I jumped at the chance and thought I'd get it as i heard it was meant to be quite good, can't wait to review it!

Then i found another great bargain! At the same stall i bought the nail hardener , i managed to find the Collection 2000 Perfecting Minerals Foundation. It was in the old packaging, but i still got it anyways. When Collection ( They changed their name) announced they were bringing back the Perfecting Minerals Foundation, but in new packaging i googled it , as you do ;) and heard some great things about it.
Thanks for Reading! =)
